Joyeux anniversaire Nikosono – Japan !

Happy Birthday Nikosono – Japan!

10 years ago in Japan, on January 20, 2014, a group of volunteers led by Mio Muramatsu and Tokyoites who love my photography founded the “Nikosono Japan” team. This unique team (driven by a great passion for the art of photography and a real dedication to supporting my art) has blown me away with their perseverance, loyalty, and creativity over the past 10 years.

We have accomplished so much since then (see details of my exhibition journey in Japan below). We have also gone through some difficult times (social media censorship, copyright issues, cultural appropriation debates,…). But to this day, I still feel so privileged to have been supported and appreciated in the land of the rising sun.

I guess many artists around the world would like to get the same kind of treatment when they try to share their creations in Japan. From now until the end of 2024, we will be celebrating this very special relationship (online and offline).
