The photographic series «Fascinating» immerses us in the ever-widening and poetic world made up by the photographer Nikosono and milliner Michelle Church.

French Australian visual artist and photographer Nikosono, co-Art directed every image of the series with Michelle Church of Atelier Eight Millinery.

Through unique designs and creative photographic takes on these fascinators especially designed and produced for the “Fascinating” photo series, the team have used symbols deeply entrenched in film noir inspiration and skilfully composed geometric lines and vibrant colours inspired by the advertising imagery of the eighties and the nineties.

Atelier Eight’s fascinators can be contemplated
in visions mixing realism and fantasy. Regardless
of the genres, the recurring mood in these photos
is made by a duo who adored drama, mystery, sensuality, alternative elegance with unconventional small touches of scandal.

In honour of Elaine Goddard, Michelle’s late sister in-law who sadly passed away from brain cancer in December 2017, a donation is made from the sales of their artworks during exhibition events.
This remarkable foundation places it’s focus on channelling resources directly to the front line, using the donations they receive to go towards clinical trials, their researchers and medical teams working in labs, universities and hospitals across Australia. These are the teams making the breakthroughs and moving us towards a cure for brain cancer.
